Need of transmission towers

Arya College of Engineering And IT: Increasing need of transmission towers
Arya College of Engineering And IT: Increasing need of transmission towers

We all know that the population of our country is increasing day by day which results in the existence of huge number of population in all parts of our country. This large population needs a higher power of transmission or electric supply and this requirement creates a need of a number of transmission towers in the country. To provide the electricity supply to the maximum people and to enable them to be a part of the story of successful India, it has become impossible to utilize the resource of few existing and introducing transmission powers.

Thus the increment in the number of towers is really important. Transmission towers simply means a tall structure which is usually made of steel and used to support an overhead power line. They are usually used in high voltage powers and come in different varieties and sizes. It is the most important source of transmitting power. Transmission towers are used in high voltage in AC and DC systems. They are also used in railway traction lines as well as radio systems design.

Sometimes the transmitting towers are installed or their antenna is installed on their top or below the power line. It is used in mobile services or radio system services like directional radio. Or they are also put in used for television or FM radio signals. There would be no doubt if we compare the transmission towers to our basic needs like food, clothes and shelter.

These are as important as these needs and in comparison to ratio of the population of our country, the ratio of transmission tower is low. It is need to be increased. The primary benefit of the transmission line is that the larger the diameter of the line, the lower the loss.

And the second benefit is that the possibility of loss increase as the frequency increase and the third benefit is that the larger lines can support the high power without melting which can be a serious hazardous to someone’s life. The transmission line that used outside should be weather friendly and it should have the ability to face UV rays of the sun and connectors of the lines should be tightly sealed.
